Welcome to Elementary Spanish!
Learning a foreign language, especially at a young age, opens many doors for students, and I am excited to work with your child. We study basic Spanish vocabulary, grammar, and conversational skills using songs, books, repetition, movement and, in the older grades, a Spanish book and/or workbook. Additionally, students learn more about the cultures of various Spanish and Hispanic regions. Kindergarten and First Grade learn through songs, classroom activities, and stories, while second and though fifth grade will use the following textbooks:

Technology
Students in Spanish class use a shared Google Classroom for K-5 resources. Students take online assessments and use apps such as Quizlet for studying vocabulary. Additionally, students in K-5 have access to iPads to use for creative projects.
