Board Game Book Report Projects
Have you ever read a great book and thougth to yourself, "Wow, they should make a board game for this book!" That is exactly what our fourth grade students did. After reading a book in their Lexile range, they created some of the most well designed board games that I am certain the authors would be interested in! Take a look for yourself! As students traveled through their own interest and choice of genre reading they brainstormed ideas on settings, characters, and the plot. All of their brainstorming paid off in the result of a well developed board game!

Science Skills and Application
During Multicultural week at OLL, fourth graders applied their science process skills in a lab. They explored the difference in densities of Irish breakfast foods, made predictions, calculated mass, collected data, and analyzed their data in a chart and graph. They were amazed with the results and learned much about molecules and matter.

4th Grade Studies Ireland for Multicultural Week
Learning about different cultures enables students to appreciate their own uniqueness as well as others. To see the world, even if just for a moment, a little bit different then how they see it daily, and to, if just for a short amount of time, walk two moons in someone else's moccasins.
