PARENT ASSOCIATION (PA)

Role, Purpose, and Function

The pupose of the Parent Association is to support Our Lady of the Lake School. To fulfill its purpose, the Parent Association has the following objectives:

  1. To assist in the operation of the school as needed through the coordination and tracking of volunteer activities
  2. To raise the funds determined by the approved budget
  3. To provide a structure that fosters open communication between parents, the school advisory council, and teachers/administration regarding policy and planning
  4. To provide opportunities to enhance positive relations between parents, students, faculty, and administration

Meetings

The Parent Association holds meetings once a month from August through June.  Special meetings can be called at any time by the president with the consent of the executive committee.

Membership

Any person with a child enrolled at Our Lady of the Lake School is a member of the Parent Association.  The Executive Committee is made up of four elected officers, a Fundraising Chairperson, Volunteer Coordinator and school principal.  The full PA board consists of the Executive Committee, two Parent Class Representatives from each grade and on Teacher Representative.
